Results are updated as Overall Standings and TOP 10 Dancers change throughout each event. Click on your event below to see current results.
- Overall High Score Awards in each session are by level AND age category.
- Soloists, and groups of the exact same dancers are eligible for ONE Overall High Score cash award in each Level and Type (ie: Competitive Solo) and their highest scoring routine will be used to determine placement.
2021 Dancer of The Year
Emma V. – CR Dance Xtreme, Campbell River
Dancer Of The Year is someone who represents Shine Dance Festival’s core values of commitment to personal and technical development and contributing to community. To be considered for this special recognition, dancers must first earn a place in the TOP 10 at a regional Shine Dance Festival event, then they must complete an online application, and finally, they must attend the TOP 10 Intensive. The Dancer of the Year is chosen and awarded at the annual Top 10 Intensive each year and receives a $500 scholarship, mentor session with Shine Founder/ Director Tamara, alnd earns the coveted title of ‘Dancer of The Year’.
2021 Mentor Awards
At SHINE we value dance educators as mentors and key influences who play meaningful roles in the lives of our children. We provide teachers with opportunities for personal and professional development creating strong leaders for the next generation both in and out of the studio through our Mentor Awards. Each mentor is selected by the Shine Crew and director as examples of professionalism, dedication to their craft, and leaders in their community.

What You Teach: I enjoy teaching all styles, but my favorites are Contemporary, Ballet, and Acro!
Inspirational Message: My hope is that I can help dancers explore their artistry, build athleticism, and develop a deeper understanding of how their bodies move. I also hope to be a source of encouragement and support in all their endeavors!

What You Teach: Recreational and competitive ballet for dancers ages 1.5-18 years of age, putting dancers through the Royal of Academy of Dance ballet exams for over two decades.

Shine Video Adjudication
At Shine, each adjudication and breakdowns is professionally recorded with audio commentary from each adjudicator so you can understand and remember your feedback. Video adjudications are available through your teacher/ studio after the competition has ended. We are pleased to be working with local company Dance.Sync to provide Video Adjudication.
