Registration Guidelines

Entries & Schedules


  • Entries will be accepted on a first come first serve basis.
  • Entries will not be processed until full payment and a signed studio release is received.
  • Entries entered into the wrong category or who are unable to dance within their scheduled session will dance for adjudication only.
  • Late entries will be accepted after the deadline if space & scheduling permits and will be subject to late fees.
  • Re-dances will be permitted at the adjudicators’ discretion. Shine staff reserve the right to refuse a re-dance if time does not permit.
  • Dancers may NOT compete against themselves in a solo or duo/ trio category. An open category is available for this purpose.
  • Routines that run overtime without prior approval will result in a $50 surcharge.
  • All routines must be appropriate for a family audience.   Adjudicators may check a box for routines they feel are not appropriate. 2 points will be deducted for each box checked. If all 3 adjudicators have checked the box, the routine will be disqualified.


Schedule notifications will be sent to studios by email.  Just log in to a studio account to review, print & share schedules.

DRAFT Schedule: Sent approximately 6 weeks before the scheduled event.

FINAL Schedule: Finalized at least 10 Days before the event.


We will send an email reminder to review and make final changes to your entries before we begin scheduling.

  • Once scheduling has started changes are not guaranteed.
  • Change requests must be emailed by the studio to: [email protected]
  • Each change will incur a $10 fee.
Any entry that is unable to perform with its level or category, will be adjudicated only. For Example: A competitive dancer dancing in a pre-competitive session is not eligible for awards unless it is scheduled by Shine Dance Festival.
